In "The Forest of the Dead", did the Doctor do anything without using his sonic screwdriver? Can't he, just for once, use a computer without whipping it out. He could use a keyboard or a mouse or something. Or perhaps we could be treated to a plot that doesn't revolve around hacking computers and opening doors?
I hate to say it but John Nathan-Turner, or whoever it was who got rid of the sonic screwdriver back in the 80s, had actually got it right.
